German Doner Kebab (GDK) will open two brand-new restaurants this autumn, bringing its premium kebab experience to Elephant & Castle in South London and Cobham Services on the M25, one of the UK’s busiest motorway destinations.
The twin launches reinforce GDK’s rapid UK expansion and its versatility across both high-street and travel locations. Each restaurant will serve GDK’s signature menu of high-quality meats, crisp locally sourced salads, handmade signature sauces and the now-iconic toasted sesame waffle bread.
Every dish is prepared fresh to order and is 100% halal, delivering a bold, modern take on the classic kebab.
The new Elephant and Castle restaurant, located on Walworth Road, joins a neighbourhood undergoing one of London’s most significant regeneration programmes.
With excellent transport links and a large student community, the site will create 20 new jobs locally and offer favourites including the OG Kebab, OV Kebab, Boss Boxes, Hash Brown Bites, Chocolate Waffle Bread and Berliner Doughnut Bites, alongside the lighter Doner Rice Bowl.
At Cobham Services, GDK will open its fourth motorway restaurant in partnership with Extra MSA, following successful sites at Baldock, Cambridge and Peterborough Services. Cobham welcomes millions of visitors each year and recently upgraded its EV infrastructure to 24 super-fast 350 kW chargers.
The new restaurant will create 40 new jobs and bring the full GDK line-up to travellers, including the new Fiver Menu that offers five lighter, bold dishes for £5 each.
