Lucky B’s Hot Chicken has launched eight new delivery-only locations across the UK, adding to its four physical restaurants in Scotland and Lancashire. The Glasgow-founded brand, which specialises in Nashville-style hot chicken, is also seeking franchise partners to support its expansion into more UK cities.
Founded in 2022 by Giancarlo Celino and Toni Dobrenko, Lucky B’s started with a single counter in Giffnock, on Glasgow’s south side. It subsequently expanded with sites on Paisley Road West and in Glasgow’s West End before moving into England with restaurants in Blackpool and Burnley.
The latest delivery-site launches mark another stage in the brand’s growth strategy, alongside its efforts to attract new franchise operators.
Eight new delivery-only locations
Lucky B’s has confirmed that its eight new delivery sites have officially launched, extending its reach beyond its existing physical restaurants.
Delivery-only locations offer food brands a way to serve additional areas without the expense of fitting out a full restaurant with customer seating. The model can also help operators assess demand in new markets before committing to larger premises.
However, Lucky B’s has not disclosed the locations of the eight new sites or identified the operators behind them.
Franchise opportunities across the UK
Alongside its delivery expansion, Lucky B’s is actively recruiting franchise partners to introduce the brand to more cities.
The company has already secured its first franchise partner outside Scotland in Lancashire. Ross Fairbairn, who operates 22 Subway restaurants across the North West of England, became the franchisee for the Blackpool location, with plans to explore further openings.
Lucky B’s co-founder Giancarlo Celino previously welcomed the partnership, highlighting Fairbairn’s experience and the brand’s potential for further growth.
“We are excited to be opening our first franchise outside of Scotland. And to have someone with Ross’ experience onboard, and ready to open more stores, it really does highlight the potential of Lucky B’s,” Celino said.
The brand provides an online franchise recruitment page through which prospective partners can express their interest. However, it has not publicly disclosed its franchise fee, minimum investment requirement or overall investment range.
Building a wider UK network
Lucky B’s is also discussing potential master franchise agreements covering the UK and India, according to its franchise information. Further details about the proposed agreements, including their terms and expected timelines, have not been released.
The company’s website lists existing collection and delivery locations in Glasgow, Blackpool and Burnley, providing a foundation for its wider expansion plans.
While the eight new delivery sites represent a further step in growing the business, Lucky B’s has yet to announce a specific target for its total UK estate or a timeline for achieving one. Its future growth will depend on the development of its delivery network and the recruitment of franchise partners in new markets.
