Popeyes has secured a master franchise development agreement to launch in the Republic of Ireland, with the first restaurant set to open in Blanchardstown, Dublin, on 15th of March.
The brand said it has a pipeline of restaurant openings, including a ‘megastore’ in the heart of Dublin.
Tom Crowley, CEO at Popeyes UK and Ireland, said the expansion is a natural step in their growth in the UK over the last five years.
Crowley said: “Ireland represents an exciting opportunity for us, as it’s a vibrant market with a strong and growing demand for convenient, high-quality food.
Irish consumers are open to new food experiences, and we see a significant long-term potential opportunity to grow our footprint and really tap into the local culture.”
Popeyes currently has more than 110 restaurants in the UK, including two in Northern Ireland.
