German Doner Kebab (GDK) celebrates World Kebab Day on July 10 with a promotion that lasts from July 6 to July 12.
During the promotion, customers can enjoy a 50% discount on main meals.
A new survey of 2,000 UK adults revealed London as the top kebab city, with Manchester and Birmingham close behind. Glasgow and Liverpool also made the top five.
The research also indicated changing perspectives among Gen Z regarding doner kebabs.
Over half of the respondents in this age group reported being bored with eating the same lunches.
Additionally, 21% mainly opt for a doner kebab for lunch, slightly surpassing supermarket meal deals at just over 20%.
The survey indicates that kebabs are increasingly viewed as more than merely a late-night takeaway.
Almost half of Gen Z respondents (47%) enjoy eating kebabs while sober, and 39% believe the quality has improved recently.
Approximately one in three people said they might consider going on a kebab date.
GDK set up the “GDK Phone Box” in Camden, London, where the public could share their thoughts on kebabs, such as their top red flags and sauces they would eliminate.
Participants were given a free GDK kebab along with merchandise.
