Californian burger chain, Carl’s Jr., is set to embark on a widespread expansion across the UK, with the first store opening next month.
As first reported by Restaurant Online, the chain has set a rollout target of 100 sites in the UK in the next four years.
The first site is due to open in Cardiff, Wales in April with a further location is set to launch in southern England ahead of the summer.
David Moffat, country manager for Carl’s Jr. UK, told the publication: “We’re looking at a sturdy rollout with a target of 100 restaurants plus in four years.”
Carl’s Jr. was founded in 1941 and currently operates more than 1,000 locations in 29 countries. The brand has been expanding its operations across Europe, where the brand now has more than 80 sites serving up Californian-inspired burgers, chicken sandwiches and milkshakes.
